Sea Shields

Sea Shells, Sea Glass & Earrings

These are called Sea Shields and actually these 2 pieces of shell were what started me on the path of designing my new One Man’s Treasure… collection for summer.

And the way I was thinking at the time, was that it’s so ridiculous that I gets so, so, so excited over pieces of broken shell and sea glass I find on the beach as I’m walking along the shore on the beaches of Gibraltar.

Pieces of glass and shell that have been discarded by the waves after being played with for sometimes centuries. So I thought well this really needs a collection and I set off on designing the whole thing.

As you can see – these are just seemingly discarded pieces of shell but I really loved them when I first saw them. I love the way the natural grooves in the shells potentially will allow me, (potentially, because obviously at the time I didn’t know if I can execute on it) will allow me to set the metal around them.

And I’m glad to say that I was very successful and they’re beautiful. They have a nice weight to them and they juxtapose the findings of shell and glass with the metals. And the fact that they’re earrings, I’m hoping that they’re going to whisper sweet messages from the seaside, reminding you of sun and the sunny side of life.

Really hoping you like them, and if you do, as usual, you know what to do 🙂

Spacer

Asymmetric Copper & Brass Earrings & Ring Set

This is an asymmetric earrings and ring set, made of chunky copper and brass. It’s a solid every-day set that can be styled with pretty much anything you fancy – especially jeans.

They feel sturdy and reliable, but are also full of personality because the twists and turns of the metal are entirely unique to this pair.

The ring also serves as a fidget or spinner ring. The centre brass piece rotates to provide you with a tactile action you can use when you need to take a mental moment. Say, before answering a question that’s important, or before responding to someone who may have tested you 😉

This is a versatile trio that also comes with a flowing stylish heart dangle that can be added to the smaller earring. The Heart-y dangle isn’t in the video – I think I decided to include it as a little surprise or bonus for you.

If you choose these to have as your own, I hope each time you wear them, you’re inspired to feel chilled, and owning your fully rightful space in whatever you do that day.

What Clouds!

Sea Glass, Botswana Agate & Opalite Earrings

So this is another pair of my summer collection One Man’s Treasure… And this pair came to me purely on the back of the excitement of the fact that I found this piece of glass and then this piece of slate. And they were very, at least in my mind’s eye, were made for each other. But then I had this vision of juxtaposing them with the metal casing. And adding these dangly mesmerising Opalites and finishing off with the grey Botswana Agates.

Later when I shared the design with a friend of mine, she pointed something out that I’d not noticed until then. She says: Well this cloud over here is a nice sunny sky with a little bit of refreshing cloud just to provide a little bit of shade from the Sun. And this other cloud looks like a rainy, stormy, gloomy one. This gave me the idea of what I’d call the earrings: What clouds!

So I hope that if you love these earrings, and you decide to get them, each time you put them on you’ll be reminded that in life it’s about how we perceive the clouds that we’re in. You can always turn your head up and go oh but there is a sun there behind that cloud and then you can remind yourself about all the fun glimmery bits like these Opalites each one with their different nuance. Every time you look at them there’s a different glow to them.

But then the Botswana Agates are there to represent the connection to your true spirit because in every single tough situation that we face in life the only thing that will get you through, is remaining true to yourself. Not just to be stubborn but true to your real self.

When things get a little cloudy – remember to be kind to yourself. Remember that you always have a choice of how you’re gonna see any cloud.

Other than that these are pretty casual. They have a good weight to them as you can feel or as I can feel and you can see :o) They’re also quite fun to wear because they have a lot of movement. But they are not heavy. You will find the dimensions and the listing below. Hopefully you will enjoy them. Don’t forget you can share a photo of yourself wearing them. I would love to see them on you.

Glide

Asymmetric Pearl Earrings

These earrings are midway between earrings and ear hugs. Their design is deceptively easy on the eye, but difficult to get so perfectly smooth and aligned. They hold you to attention with that sleek simplicity.

I called them Glide – because they do. The snowdrop-like big pearls at the bottom finish off that effect well. To me they say: I’m proud of what I am here, now, AS I am :o)

No frills – just full of lines and beauty. n nI LOVE working with freshwater pearls of any size. But these big ones have so much personality and individuality. No two are alike. Yet somehow when I look at these two together, they make a partnership. They look like they belong.

The Shape-Up collection stands for pieces that remind you to stand tall in your rightful expression as you move into the world. To not shrivel or shy away because society around you may not like it.

And Pearls are the ultimate strong but feminine and sophisticated expression of this. Not just because they’re pure, regal, and rich, but also because they have many facets – just like a woman – there’s a mystery, and it’ll unfold when it is ready – when IT decides it’s time.

What you choose to wear these with, is up to you. Just be ready to be seen. And know you deserve to take up your full space – you give others the permission to do so too.

Send me a photo of yourself wearing them :o)

SOLD – Play in Pink

SOLD: this beauty has now found a happy home with their unique human. I make only one of everything. IF, however, you’re totally head-over-heels with this design, reach out to me – perhaps we can find your solution.

Asymmetrical Copper & Corals Earrings

As I mentioned in the storyboard, these earrings came to me as a continuation from another set I was making at the time – a set of hoops. I like the juxtaposition of the circles with the straight up and down rigidity of the main body of the earring, and the dangling vivaciousness of the coral at the bottom.

Pink corals apparently have a super-power of bringing happy thoughts and hope to the wearer. They strengthen the feminine in you and can be good healing agents.

I am not super versed in the meaning and super-powers of semi-precious stones, but their power has been used for thousands of years, so it’s nice to know a bit about that – especially considering they come from Mother Earth :o) I love knowing that besides the feeling I get from looking at the stones – there’s something bigger than me.

These Play in Pink set made it into The Fool collection because they’re just a whole lot of fun! They are elegant, but simple and bright. This “happy couple” is asymmetrical, which also plays into the archetype of not taking yourself too seriously and always be willing to be cheeky.

I really can’t say much more that will speak to you as much as you having a proper look. If they’re for you – you’d know right away. I hope if they are the pair for you – they inspire you to show your Playful each time you see them. Let them brighten you inside and out.

Because remember – when you take up your rightful space – you give others the permission to do that too. That’s a gift you should share!

Pearl Play

Keshi Pearls, Opalite, Asymmetric Earrings

These beauties are called Pearl Play and they are made of Opalites and intriguingly individual Keshi Pearls. For this design I simply wanted to play with the stunning Keshi Pearls that I had just received. And play I did :o) They were my muse.

Firstly I played with the actual stones, stunning model-of-a-earl. You can just see the beautiful shine on these babies. And then I played with the way I captured them, because I let the wire follow however it wanted to bend. It was important that I honoured the intention and flow of the metal.

But in all seriousness, other than just naming them Pearl Play and letting the wire play with the pearls, I wanted to create something that’s non-standard. These scream sophistication because the Keshi pearls are actually quite large (you can see the dimensions in the listing). But also they invite you to not take yourself too seriously – the design just pulls your eye along its trail.

So yes you can be sophisticated, you could easily wear these with a white suit or with jeans or with a floaty summery dress. Literally no rules – just like in life. Time to shine in your own way. Time to play in whichever way makes YOU happy.

Because as Dr. Seuss says: Those who matter don’t mind. Those who mind, don’t matter.

If you make them your own, please don’t miss the chance to show me a picture of yourself wearing them. Just tag me on your favorite social channel.

Arc

Pearls, Opalites & Gold Quartz Earrings

This design evolved out of necessity (like so many good things in life). The original idea was to make 2 matching earrings, but I made the one and when I came to make the other, I realised I ran out of the base metal! The next batch was only arriving in a couple of weeks, so I got impatient (my character flaw) and decided to create them asymmetrically instead.

IMHO this worked out fab – again – just like a lot of good things in life – when you face your challenge voluntarily, you build resilience and you discover the beauty in non-conformity. These earrings scream CONFIDENCE.

They’re bold, and elegant, AND gentle at the same time. I can see them on a variety of outfits and they’ll look different each time.

An upmarket dinner, or a night out on the dance floor – equally eye-catching and sophisticated. Especially awesome when juxtaposed with a great pair of jeans!

The stones I’ve chosen re-enforce the grace and authority these demand.

And the name? The Arc name came to me because both are not a full circle (obvious), but also because there’s something lasting and demanding about the design – and the word Arc just seems to encompass that.

Have you ever been in a situation where you just wanted to feel more visible – in an authoratitve, feminine and also sophisticated way? Or to create a message that, like an open loop, plays with observers’ minds – is she playful, feminine, serious?

Your jewellery doesn’t just have to play pretty. It can be your secret weapon for self expression. You can have intent behind what and how you wear each day. And you could be the only one that knows what you meant…

SOLD – Cannonballs!

SOLD: this beauty has now found a happy home with their unique human. I make only one of everything. IF, however, you’re totally head-over-heels with this design, reach out to me – perhaps we can find your solution.

Silver-Filled Drop Earrings with vintage Findings

Introducing my Cannonballs! drop earrings. And right out the gate -this shock alert: first time I’m not using semi-precious stones in one of my designs. That’s because the design made itself crystal clear to me right out the gate – it wanted me to juxtapose these glittery, frivolously playful beauties, with the strength of my signature Forever Link chain.

So, this is a cheeky (and you’ll see that my pun IS intended) take on the phrase ‘naughty-but-nice‘. The sparkles of the disco balls supported by the virtually unbreakable Forever Link chain. The essence of a strong human :o)

The vision I had for this design first manifested itself as the infamous shot of Miley Cyrus swinging freely on a cannonball!

So in the spirit of that scene (although the actual song has a different vibe) – I hope that if you get these, each time you put these babies on, you remember the forever bond between the nuances of a human character and how each one is useful and necessary. It’s useful to be playful and a disco Queen. But it’s important to keep your values and integrity aligned with what makes you truly shine – to keep the Forever Link with yourself.

They have a very easy movement about them. Very easy to wear and dance to the music in your heart. Let them lead you to live in your full colour and shine :o)

Fabion

Woven Unakite Jasper Asymmetric Earrings

The magic of this asymmetric earring set starts with the hue bandwidth of the 118 Unakites that make this design. They shine from playfully baby pink through to seriously mystical deep green. I often look at gems and wonder how Mother Nature decided on that combo!

But it works. The spiral twist of the larger hoop plays off the almost straight line of its companion. It’s a tug-of-war – just like with their colour combo.

And – you might have guessed it by now, Fabion being part of The Fool collection, invites you to not take yourself too seriously. That doesn’t mean you don’t approach what you do with integrity and awareness; it means that you remember to learn, and to enjoy each stroke of life’s paintbrush.

Let the colours and the shapes of this pair remind you of all that’s non-sensical, and how even the odd situations in life can turn out to be the best … IF you just remember to look for the lesson. Like the Fool archetype :o)

On the beauty side – this pair is bold. And I guarantee you won’t see it again – not even from me. It took so freakin long to make… But I’m glad I persevered – they’re beautiful.

I hope you’ll be glad you found them too. With the sheer amount of semi-precious Unakites on them – they are like a treasure you gift yourself after a brave quest. Of course – you can choose to set an intent that activates and supports you in a way you may need it. But even if you just ride along with the fun of the colour combos here – you’re already living in the spirit of the Fool ;o)

MY SIZE: 6cm L x 6cm W x 1cm D — 4.8cm L 4.8cm W x 1cm D
