Sculpted Copper & Freshwater Pearls Earrings

These earrings were a labour of love. I wanted to showcase how traditional materials can be reimagined into contemporary, artistic jewelry – the original design is a nod to actual Byzantine treasures found in archaeological excavations.

The idea was to create the entire shape from one piece of metal – no soldering or chemical processing (which is one of my brand choices). The big one came first, and from the cutout piece I crafted its little ‘other’. In that way and visually they belong together.

11 freshwater pearls of varying kind will dance like no one’s watching. Ok – jokes aside – watch the video and you let me know their movement isn’t making you want to move. My intention was to juxtapose that freeing dance with the rigidity of the main structure on which they hang.

Just like in life – we need our structures and routines, exactly to free us up to move in our own groove.

Which brings me to how to style them. Let yourself think freely. Prioritise feelgood and then look in the mirror and see if what you see resonates. A summer dress or a white vest would do them justice equally – but remember – beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Sea Strawberries

Pearls & Seaglass Earrings

These earrings arrived with the mood of tiny sea-bright strawberries — crisp green glass, berry-red pops, white pearls and warm brass. They freshen the eye instantly, the kind of colours that lift you before you know why. The pearls dance lightly as you move, giving the pair a cheerful, tactile presence.

I wanted to unite two ocean-born materials: one created purely by the sea, and the other transformed by her patience. Sea glass — once discarded — becomes soft, frosted and gem-like through years of being tumbled by salt and tide. Pearls form through steady, organic layering. Together they carry the meanings of renewal, emotional clarity, resilience, purity and quiet wisdom. A small harmony of what the sea returns to us when we treat her carelessly — and what she still offers with generosity.

The result is joyful, playful and easy to wear. Dress them up, dress them down, or let them be your little dose of seaside cheer. You set the tone; they simply amplify it.

Pearl Bubbles

Pearl & Copper Freestyle Earrings

These earrings will ask you to hold your space with your style. Not all of us a brave enough to see the beauty of the gentle tiny freshwater Pearls do a party dance with the sturdy darkness of copper.

I loved making these earrings – it’s a lot of fiddly work as each pearl is about 2mm in diameter. But the really ‘game’ is in using heat to manipulate the metal ends of each strand while not damaging the delicate pearls!

The result is a true opposites-love-each-other story. And I hope if you love them you’d wear them and show them off on the background of a crisp white top (collared shirt, or a T, or a vest would do just as well). With a full length skirt – maybe white, cream or copper colour. Or – you know I’m gonna say this: with jeans :o)

However you choose to style them, maybe each time you look at them you remember the effervescence of your free spirit and celebrate that because it’s the spice of life.

Totem-Style Asymmetric Earrings with Sea Glass, Vintage Findings, Lapis Lazuli & Kyanites

I’ve been raring to share these two guys with you, because they’ve been a feast for my creative and problem-solving brain. I’m really proud of the result.

The design started revolving around the central heroes – the vintage elements. I wanted to showcase them, but also to combine them with some more humble materials like the sea glass that you see me use (from Gibraltar). That I ‘captured’ in a ‘net’ of metal.

These would look well with… well, with you in them really. Because you cannot wear these and go unnoticed. They’ve got flamboyance, they claim space, they claim attention, but it’s nothing like what you would have seen somewhere else.

Sun Queen

Citrine & Copper Textured Hoops

Sun Queen was born from contrast — the kind that doesn’t soften itself to be polite. I loved pairing the rugged honesty of copper with the sunlit richness of citrine, letting each material stay fully itself. Twenty-two citrines trace the hoop like a solar rhythm, while the copper holds everything steady, textured, grounded, unbothered.

There’s a Romanesque quality to them — ornamental yet strong, expressive without excess. They carry the feeling of sovereignty: not loud, not defensive, simply assured. Worn with something casual, they create that electric moment of contradiction — a quiet challenge to expectation. Is she really wearing those with that? Yes. And that’s the point.

These earrings aren’t about matching. They’re about claiming. Let them remind you that strength and radiance don’t compete — they collaborate.

Folded Cornelian Copper Earrings

White Whisperers

Howlite & Sea Glass Chandelier-Style Earcuffs

These chandelier-style ear cuffs are both bold AND refined. This final look is born from a design twist that turned a wearability oversight on my part into a masterpiece. Inspired by a Labradorite pair I initially made for myself, these ear cuffs started as traditional studs but had to evolve into something much more. Because with 55 Howlite stones on one cuff and 28 on the other, the original design was way too heavy for one flexible earlobe!

This is where I decided to make them into the earcuff style you see here. Allowing me to integrate the extra uniqueness of frosted white sea glass from the shores of Gibraltar.

As you already know – there are a truck-load of Howlites in these asymmetrical beauties. Each of the cascading stones handpicked for their serene, creamy white tones with delicate hues of grey. Known for their calming energy, Howlite promotes peace and stillness—a quiet whisper for your heart in the noise of daily life.
