Raised Garnet Brass Ring
When I created this ring I wanted to prove that simplicity can be stunning. At first glance, it might seem understated, but I poured a lot of thought and craftsmanship into its design.
The star of this ring is a beautiful rough-cut green Garnet. I carefully elevated it above the finger band to showcase its natural beauty and unique characteristics. I love how the rough-cut stone offers a different view every time you look at it, with light playing off its various facets in captivating ways.
I drew inspiration from Roman jewelry-making techniques for this design. The way I secured the stone to the ring is my nod to ancient craftsmanship, blending historical influences with modern aesthetics. I wanted to create something timeless that feels both classic and contemporary.
One of my favorite aspects of this design is how the stone sits against your skin when you wear it. I wanted to create a direct connection between the wearer and the natural world. I crafted the band to complement the garnet without overshadowing it.
